I recently was given the fortunate opportunity of visiting Northern India with a group of peers through the Alternative Break program at American University. During our three week stay in India, we studied the situation in Tibet and worked with the Tibetan refugee population. While there, the story of the Tibetans touched my heart and inspired me to share the stories they told me as well as the story of our group's own journey in India.
My aim for this blog is that it becomes a documentation of our trip itself, promotes awareness of the situation in Tibet, and, more broadly, sends the message to the world that, even in a refugee population without a literal home, Tibetans are here on this world and magnificent in their own right.
